Two heights, one gap
Height Difference Calculator: Compare Two Heights
Find the height difference between two people in centimeters, inches and percent, and see both drawn side by side to scale. Works in feet or cm.
Partner 1 is 15.2 cm (6 in) taller than Partner 2.
- Partner 1 is the tallest at 5′ 11″ (180.3 cm).
- Partner 2 is 15.2 cm (6 in) shorter than Partner 1.
Everything is drawn in your browser. Names and heights are not uploaded or saved; a shared link carries them in the part of the address after the # sign, which browsers do not send to the server. Figures are simple shapes scaled to the heights you enter, so they show the difference in height, not anyone’s build.
How the difference is calculated
The calculator subtracts the shorter height from the taller one and shows the gap in centimeters and inches. Taller by is the gap as a percentage of the shorter height, and the height ratio divides the taller height by the shorter one.
- A gap of 2.54 cm is exactly one inch.
- Use the same unit system for both people; switching Units converts both.
- Measure both people without shoes, at about the same time of day.
